Introduction & History
Kurşunlu Vocational School traces its origins to Kurşunlu Vocational School of Justice, which was established on 4 July 2019 under Çankırı Karatekin University. The School commenced its educational activities in 2020, providing vocational education in the field of justice and contributing to the development of qualified professionals. Students currently enrolled in the Justice Program continue their education until graduation without interruption.
In response to the evolving needs of higher education, rapid technological advancements, and the growing demand for a highly skilled workforce, the School underwent a comprehensive restructuring. On 29 February 2024, it was reorganized as Kurşunlu Vocational School, embracing a broader academic vision and a renewed institutional identity.
A significant milestone in this transformation was achieved on 2 July 2026, when the Council of Higher Education approved the establishment of two new academic departments and programs: the Tele-Health Technician Program under the Department of Database and Network Design and Management, and the Alternative Energy Sources Technology Program under the Department of Electricity and Energy. Through this new academic structure, the School has positioned itself to educate professionals in the rapidly growing fields of digital health technologies and sustainable energy.
Kurşunlu Vocational School is located adjacent to the New TOKİ Residential Area in Kurşunlu, Çankırı. Its modern campus comprises a five-storey building (including the basement level) with a capacity of approximately 600 students. The facilities include 20 classrooms, a computer laboratory, a library, a cafeteria, a dining hall, as well as offices for academic and administrative staff, providing students with a contemporary, safe, and practice-oriented learning environment.
Today, Kurşunlu Vocational School is committed to educating competent and innovative professionals through student-centered and practice-oriented education. By promoting excellence in digital health and sustainable energy technologies, the School contributes to scientific advancement, regional development, and the cultivation of a highly qualified workforce capable of meeting the challenges of the future.
